Getting to know Kristin Keefe

I am a sex-positive, LGBTQAI+-affirming, licensed mental health counselor working with individuals, partners and couples. I've been in practice since 2013, and my clients have brought issues of soothing fears, increasing self-esteem, recovering from depression, working through family trauma, navigating monogamy and consensual non-monogamy, managing life transitions such as losing a parent, having adult children leave home, or reworking their careers. I completed a 3-year course at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in working with people on issues of sexuality and gender. I've been seeing clients of trans experience, their partners, and also parents supporting transgender children and teenagers.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is integrative, using psychodynamic, cognitive and harm reduction techniques. My hope is to help you bring emotion and thinking into alignment, to restore calm and to gather energy to improve your quality of life. Together, we can clarify your priorities, address your fears with compassion, and bring about positive changes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My practice is fully remote. I hope to connect with you over video for a consultation to understand your situation, and to answer any questions you have for me. Then we will set a weekly appointment time together. I work out-of-network, and can provide documentation for insurance reimbursements. I look forward to hearing from you.
