At any phase of life, challenges may present themselves, and we may find that we may not be able or prepared to manage them in ways that are healthy or productive. Taking the first step to reach out to gain support, and begin the process of healing and self care is a very important one. My approach For over 20 years as a licensed clinical social worker, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families to help navigate mental health and life-related challenges using compassion, humor, and solution-based strategies. My focus Regardless of what you may be struggling with, I believe in meeting clients where they are in their current life-situation, working with them collaboratively, helping them to feel safe, and supported in the treatment process. It is my priority to assist any individual, regardless of what challenges they may be facing, in finding pathways towards healing, and improved quality of life. My communication style Establishing a trusting, safe, and a non-judgmental relationship with my clients is a number one priority. I believe in being honest and straight forward, while being genuinely compassionate , and empathetic while working through any issue you maybe facing. My journey to mental healthcare I have been working in the field of social work for over 20 years. I began my journey working for a non-profit agency supporting children and families for 5 years before becoming a school social worker, where I worked with students and families at all grade levels. My goals for you Establishing your individualized treatment plan is a collaborative effort, and can be adjusted and modified at any time to meet your current situation and needs. My first session with you Establishing a positive and trusting rapport is crucial in a productive therapeutic relationship. The first few sessions will focus on learning about what your current life situation is and what brought you to seeking support from a therapist.
