You might look like you have it together—but internally, it’s exhausting. Your mind doesn’t shut off, you replay conversations, and relationships can leave you feeling anxious, unsure, or drained. Many of the clients I work with feel stuck in patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, or constantly questioning themselves. Even when you understand what’s happening, it’s hard to actually change it. I help adults break these cycles so they can feel calmer, more confident, and more grounded in themselves and their relationships.

Getting to know Kristina Carrera

You might look like you have it together—but internally, it’s exhausting. Your mind doesn’t shut off, you replay conversations, and relationships can leave you feeling anxious, unsure, or drained. Many of the clients I work with feel stuck in patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, or constantly questioning themselves. Even when you understand what’s happening, it’s hard to actually change it. I help adults break these cycles so they can feel calmer, more confident, and more grounded in themselves and their relationships.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer a calm, structured, and collaborative space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. Our work focuses on both understanding why these patterns exist and learning how to shift them in real time. We’ll use a mix of approaches—like practical tools for anxiety and communication, along with deeper work when needed—to create lasting change. This isn’t therapy where you just talk in circles. You’ll leave sessions with clarity, direction, and tools you can actually use in your daily life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

High-Functioning Anxiety You appear capable on the outside but feel constantly “on edge” inside. We work on quieting the mental noise and helping you feel more steady. Relationship Patterns & Boundaries Breaking cycles of overthinking, people-pleasing, and self-doubt so you can feel more secure and confident in how you show up. Trauma & Past Experiences When past experiences still affect how you think, feel, or relate to others, we work to process and release what’s been keeping you stuck. Substance Use & Recovery Support for individuals and families navigating addiction, patterns, and long-term change.
