Getting to know Kristina Fecik
Hi, I am Kristina Fecik, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of Relationships Within Reach, LLC. Relationships Within Reach is a marriage and family therapy practice founded on the belief that each person's desires within themselves and in their relationships are possible to achieve.
Based on my experience working with individuals, couples, and families, I believe obstacles can be overcome, goals can be reached, and situations that seem hopeless can improve.
In therapy, I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where problems can be openly discussed. I strive to understand my clients' concerns to help them identify and make the necessary adjustments to achieve their individual, relationship, and family goals.
I hold a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University's School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and I am currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MT 2854) in the state of Florida.
In addition to my private practice, I have worked in various settings with diverse populations, including:
- Drug rehabilitation with adults recovering from substance dependence.
- In-home therapy with children, families, and couples exposed to domestic violence, child abuse, and/or neglect through the Department of Children and Families, aiming to improve communication and living circumstances to ensure children's safety and preserve the family unit.
- The public school system, assisting teens, children, and families with school-related issues such as test anxiety, feeling overwhelmed by school pressures, adjusting to divorce or separation, grief or loss, behavioral challenges, self-esteem, and bullying.
What should a new client know about working with you?
For individuals, I primarily utilize Solution Focused Brief Therapy, so I focus on clients' strenghts and begin with with what is already working in their lives. For couples, I use some Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Gottman Method Couples Therapy, a research based type of therapy where I teach techniques to couples to better manage conflict, improve intimacy and friendship. Both are collaborative in nature so as a client you will be leading and I will be supporting, coaching and guiding. Both of our expertise will be drawn upon---mine about therapy and yours about your life. My favorite part about therapy is watching my clients get to where they want to be, and I believe they can.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The first session is always completing the assessment - for couples this is usually two sessions--then we form a plan of action together. The next 10-12 sessions is supporting the client on reaching their goals via talk therapy.

Initial session: $225 for 75 minutes
Ongoing session: $200 for 60 minutes

Kristina was able to give me an my fiancé the correct tools needed to work on our relationship. Even with our busy schedules she was able to accommodate us reasonably. Would recommend and we will be coming back to her for help or any relationship questions we may have moving forward.

Kristina has helped me with so many aspects of my life. She always listens and really helps me find what makes me happy. She helped me listen to myself, which was a goal I didn't even know I had! She is easy to talk to about anything, friendly, and most of all has a way to make difficult times seem better by the end of each session. Every session with her is helpful no matter how challenging the topic may be. I highly recommend her to anyone!!!
