Getting to know Kristina Yarbrough
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and affirming, with attention to identity, power, and the broader systems that shape our lives. I mostly work with women-identifying, LBGTIQA+, autistics and neurogivergent folx with trauma histories. I have worked in clinical mental health for 25 years in the United States and Mexico. My professional path has been shaped by work that consistently calls for both personal and professional growth, deep self-reflection, and a commitment to ethical, relational care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Feedback from my current clients include them feeling heard, cared for, understood and validated. Clients tell me that I am dynamic, offer important insight and ideas, make links and identify patterns that are very helpful, that I ask really good questions, that I keep them focused on the path they want to be on, and that they feel better after our sessions.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
