Getting to know Kristine Diaz

Hello and welcome, I'm Kristine! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Orange County, California, and I work with clients statewide via telehealth. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Fullerton. Do you feel like you haven't been enjoying your life the way you would like to-or even the way that you used to? Does it seem like there have been more worries than answers or solutions in your life? I empower high performers to manage depression, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship nuances. Together, we can identify what hasn't been working the way it used to and find ways to sharpen what does work while adding new methods that can balance and bring hope back into your life. Whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, or the cycles of life transitions, I'm here to help. It takes a lot of courage to seek therapy, so I look forward to supporting you in your journey of growth and transformation. You can expect to have a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic space to feel seen and validated when working with me. When it comes to mental health, I follow a "No B.S." policy-No Blaming & Shaming! Together, you and I will use an eclectic and flexible approach in therapy that fits your needs!

What should a new client know about working with you?

What you can expect from our first session together is for us to spend the majority of our time talking about how you have been feeling recently and for me to empathetically ask questions to gain insight and understand parts of why you may be feeling that way. In our first session together, we will be focused on building an initial connection and helping me get a sense of where we should go from there. Since each individual is unique and different, I make sure to listen first before assuming I know what will work best for you moving forward.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Helps guide me to finding my own answers, which then helps me recognize when a spiral could be coming up. She also gives me tools to help so I can re-ground myself during a spiral. I am excited to tell her my wins each week, she gets just as excited as I do for them :)
