OCD has a way of wiping out your self-esteem and self-worth. I can help empower you to find your strengths and take that next step toward feeling whole again. Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is challenging work, but it's some of the most rewarding and worthwhile work you can do. I'll be there to support you through live sessions and messaging, and you'll have access to the NOCD community who, like you, are living with OCD. My focus areas include anxiety, stress, depression, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), life transitions, parenting, and trauma. My personal connection to OCD and mental health I've dealt with anxiety and have family members who have, as well. Having that experience has helped me be more understanding and empathetic. It makes me want to empower people to see their true potential, tune into their own strengths, and understand that they can be an agent for change in their own life. How I create a safe, supportive environment in therapy I want to be a support for the people I work with. I make sure you know I'm there with you every step of the way, and you're not alone. I want this to be a safe space for you to open up and share those really disturbing thoughts, while knowing they're not reflective of you. They're something else taking over that we can learn to manage. My message to you if you're wondering what therapy will be like It's not always easy, but it's so rewarding. And it's amazing how quickly you can see the change, and feel the relief when you're really putting in the work. You're also not going to be alone in this, on your own island, doing it yourself. We're here to support you, and we can move at whatever pace you need. The most rewarding part of treating OCD Seeing the gains that people make, and how quickly it happens for some, is so exciting and motivating. It's some of the most rewarding work I've ever done as a therapist.
