Kristy Navarro, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CT
Hi there, I'm Kristy! I hold a Master's in Social Work from Springfield College and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Connecticut. For over 10 years, I have been supporting individuals who have experienced domestic violence, depression, anxiety, adjustment struggles, and traumatic experiences. My approach is solution-focused, strengths-based, and person-centered. I like to laugh and bring humor into my interactions while actively listening and providing unconditional positive regard for you as an individual. My passion for this work stems from my own struggles as well as those of people I care about. Life is not easy, and I truly understand that. I firmly believe that our experiences shape us and allow us to see things from different perspectives. My goal is to provide a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings to initiate change. Depending on your unique situation, we may work on shifting negative thoughts to more positive ones, developing coping skills that fit your needs, and exploring your emotions. Together, we will create a space where you feel comfortable and supported. In our first session, I will focus on building rapport as the foundation of our therapeutic relationship. This involves asking many questions to fully understand the unique challenges you are facing.
