Getting to know Krystal McClendon

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and certified School Counselor with 12 years of experience, based in Texas. I specialize in helping professional women navigate challenges related to anxiety, depression, and life transitions, as well as burnout, work-related stress, a lack of self-care, divorce, and difficulties in their relationships. What should a new client know about working with you?

Krystal’s approach to counseling is cognitive behavioral therapy; focusing on helping you connect your thought patterns to your action and behaviors. You will learn techniques for coping with stressful life situations in identifying ways to manage emotions, resolve relationship conflicts and learn better ways to communicate. You will become a personal problem solver and have access to a new perspective on how to live, think, and feel your best.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The patient's initial counseling session includes a psychosocial assessment where social history, background information, demographics, past history, presenting issues, and treatment goals are discussed. This initial process of gathering information helps the therapist guide and aid the patient's treatment planning for success.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
