Getting to know Kumi Pledger
I, Kumi Pledger, LCPC, hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I work with all ages: children, adolescents, couples, LGBTQ clients, families, and adults for various issues including relationship challenges, supporting new and expectant mothers, eating disorders, adjustment to new places or new jobs, trauma, grief, and loss. I use personal insight and professional experience to provide clients with a safe place to be heard, free from fears, reduce anxieties, eliminate unwanted behaviors, grow, improve, and conquer insomnia.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My approach as a therapist is compassionate and respectful, honoring each client’s unique strengths and resources to move forward in a process toward positive change and growth. I see children, adolescents, couples, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) Clients, families and adults for various issues including, relationship challenges, supporting new and expectant mothers, eating disorders, adjustment problems, trauma, grief and loss.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
