In working together I utilize non judgmental curiosity to understand what has brought you to seek treatment and how I might help. I believe people ultimately have the solutions to the issues they face and often just need the time and space to organize and reflect. This often leads to deeper understanding and new directions of growth.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The usual process of working together involves identifying a desired goal or goals and then uncovering the perceived barriers to achieving them. Sometimes this involves an exploration of earlier life and how that has shaped one's beliefs about themselves and the world. Other times, it involves a need to gain knowledge or skills. There are often times when it involves both of these processes. Each situation is unique and requires the approach utilized to be individualized to the needs of the client.
