My approach I utilize CBT to help you identify cognitive distortions that may hinder you from demonstrating the best you, whether in your marriage, family relationships, or career. My approach is practical and collaborative, providing insight into patterns of behavior or communication while you develop tools to support your desired change. My focus The teenage years are hard for all of us! I primarily work with teenagers and their families to identify and process communication styles, attachment, and boundaries. I also work with adults regarding challenging anxious thoughts and with couples regarding relationship issues. My communication style I am direct and kind, unafraid to ask hard questions or point out patterns of maladaptive behavior. Feedback is essential to growth, and yours is welcome. My journey to mental healthcare I've always admired people who have overcome adversity. It's beautiful to see people blossom after processing trauma or mending relationships, especially families. We need each other! My goals for you Setting therapeutic goals is something we will talk about in our first session. How will you know you have completed therapeutic goals? How will you feel when you've completed treatment goals? My first session with you We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, previous counseling experiences and goals. You can tell me as much as you care to share in our first meeting. We'll discuss diagnoses, therapeutic modality and proposed treatment schedule.
