What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often describe me as approachable, thoughtful, and practical. I believe therapy is most effective when it combines compassion with a clear focus on growth and accountability. Together, we will explore the factors contributing to your current challenges while developing concrete strategies to improve daily functioning, emotional resilience, and overall quality of life. In addition to my clinical training, I bring perspectives gained through a prior career in law and public policy. This experience allows me to connect with professionals and individuals facing demanding personal, academic, or career-related pressures and to appreciate the complex realities they navigate each day.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins with gaining a thorough understanding of your concerns, goals, strengths, and life circumstances. From there, we collaborate to identify patterns of thinking, feeling, and behavior that may be contributing to distress or preventing you from living the life you want. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, and DBT, we develop practical and sustainable skills to manage stress, regulate emotions, strengthen relationships, and respond more effectively to difficult thoughts and experiences. Throughout the process, I tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals, regularly evaluating progress and adjusting our work as necessary.
