Kyle serves as a licensed resident in counseling who collaborates with clients in pursuing their hopes for counseling. Drawing heavily from a humanistic philosophy, he views the counseling relationship as a substantive agent of change in therapy. He approaches each relationship with warmth and a genuine interest in you as a person. Grounded in this core philosophy, Kyle aims for an evidence-based approach, integrating a variety of strategies dependent upon the needs of each client. Kyle holds a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Lock Haven University. Prior to coming to the counseling profession, Kyle served in student affairs at several universities. As a result, he brings a background with the college-aged population, an interest in issues relating to higher education for both students and higher education practitioners, and experience with career exploration and transition. Kyle is committed to understanding the range of issues and experiences surrounding cultural identity, to building relationships that reflect this understanding, and to respecting the dignity of each person, inclusive of the many dimensions of diversity from race to sexual identity and more. He appreciates the effort that is often entailed in seeking help and will be glad to join you in the work involved with a variety of goals and aspirations.
