What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where your experiences are heard and respected. I value collaboration and will invite you to take an active role in shaping your therapy goals. My style is compassionate, down-to-earth, and strengths-based—I meet you where you are while also gently challenging you to grow. I use a trauma-informed and holistic approach that may include EMDR, play therapy, somatic work, Internal Family Systems, and DBT skills, depending on your unique needs. I balance evidence-based practices with creativity and flexibility, so sessions feel both structured and personalized. My goal is to help you feel empowered, develop practical coping tools, and build resilience while also exploring deeper healing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When we first begin working together, I’ll take time to learn about your story, your current concerns, and your goals for therapy. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels realistic and supportive for you. A typical session is conversational and collaborative—you can expect a mix of open discussion, reflection, and practical strategies to help you manage challenges outside of session. Depending on your needs, sessions may also include experiential techniques such as grounding, mindfulness, or creative tools. I check in regularly to make sure therapy feels helpful and aligned with your goals, and I encourage feedback so we can adjust the process as needed. My aim is for each session to feel like a safe space where you can explore challenges, build skills, and experience growth at your own pace.
