Lacey Morris, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Lacey! Lacey Morris, LMFT, Registered Expressive Arts Therapist. I incorporate a family systems lens approach, weaving in many psychodynamic techniques as well. My focus is on individuals seeking deeper meaning and lasting change in their lives. My approach I lean toward a psychodynamic lens in therapy, helping people understand the root causes of issues and patterns they want to break free from. I support clients in creating change and navigating loss and transitions in new and empowering ways. My focus I work with clients experiencing transitions—grief, loss, job changes, or the end of relationships. I also support those who feel stuck or unhappy and want to find deeper meaning and freedom in their lives. My communication style I hold a safe, nonjudgmental space where we explore challenges and pain together as a team. Working with me feels healing and empowering. I provide reflections and practical tools clients can use in their daily lives. My journey to mental healthcare I lost my mother at a very young age, which inspired me to help others. I have always been deeply compassionate and love holding space for people. I also struggled with dating unavailable men and researched my own healing journey around codependency. Becoming a therapist helped me heal my own path and empowered me to give back by supporting others in their healing. My education I earned my Master’s in Counseling from John F. Kennedy University and my Bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University. My goals for you I help clients create goals early on, which serve as a roadmap for where we want to go in therapy and what we want to accomplish together. My first session with you It’s a safe place to express yourself and unload any worries or concerns. Together, we’ll create goals and a structure to heal in new and meaningful ways.
