She later earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Walden University in Minnesota in 2021. LaChica has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field working in many different capacities across an array of mental and behavioral health settings. Currently, LaChica is a full time therapist in the school setting providing services to youth. LaChica has an array of training and experience in many different modalities and likes to integrate approaches to meet the needs of clients to include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused, trauma focused CBT, and behavioral therapy. LaChica’s approach is client centered, focusing on creating a safe and supportive environment. LaChica is passionate about working with marginalized, underserved, and underrepresented communities to provide empowerment, support, and strength to those who most need it. Her therapeutic approach is personable, compassionate, and collaborative to ensure a safe space for clients to explore their concerns.
