Lacita Moody, LPC

Psychotherapist
4390 Lindell Blvd, St Louis, MO
My approach is warm, empowering, and trauma-informed. I help clients slow down, tune into themselves, and unpack the messages that have shaped their identity. I often work with women navigating stress, shame, or self-doubt rooted in family pain, relationship trauma, generational cycles, or systemic barriers. My approach My approach to therapy is down-to-earth. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model. People need space to be understood before they can grow. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest about what’s really going on without feeling judged or rushed to “get over it.” My focus I specialize in helping women navigate anxiety, trauma, and the pressure of always being the “strong one.” My focus is on creating a safe space to unlearn survival mode, build healthier boundaries, and reconnect with your authentic self. My communication style My communication style is warm, direct, and grounded. I believe in creating a space where clients feel seen, supported, and challenged to grow. I communicate with transparency and compassion, balancing empathy with honest reflection. In session, I listen deeply, help clients make sense of what they’re feeling, and invite open dialogue. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist was both personal and purpose-driven. I was drawn to helping women, especially Black women, who carry the weight of being strong for everyone else. Through my own healing and training, I created Female Empowered Progressions Counseling to offer safe, affirming spaces for growth and restoration. My goals for you I take a collaborative, down-to-earth approach to goal-setting. In the first few sessions, we explore what brought you to therapy and what “better” looks like for you, emotionally, mentally, and relationally. From there, we create realistic goals that reflect both your needs and your pace.
