I believe in the process of co-creating what the therapeutic space looks like, and what that container can hold. I love working with clients who feel that their anger is an important and vital part of their personhood, even if the world around them tells them something different. The inherent wisdom we each possess within ourselves often needs a platform to share the messages it has for us, if we can only invite them to the table. Therapy, and the radical act of honoring where you are at in any given moment, can be scary and it can be one of the most empowering acts of love we can give ourselves. In the containers we create together I centralize consent and agency for any client who comes through my virtual doors. These are the pillars that healing is built on. I am an anger specialist that befriends and redefines anger. I use somatic awareness skills, embodiment practices, and guided visualizations in order to figure out what it is that you uniquely need from this season of therapy. These Loving-kindness Anger Practices need to be personalized to your unique experiences in this world. Sometimes we need to vocally release the built-up emotions we have in our body, and there is space for that too. Client’s will leave feeling more connected to themselves and the parts of self that have been cut off or marginalized. The anger realm may feel either like it is your sole focus or you may not be sure where to fit it in. Regardless, working with this aspect of humanness can spread to so many other parts of self that need love and support, once we set the table and open the door. The regulation and releasing tools you will explore in this space are the language of love when it comes to our emotional being, and can be the greatest gift of humanity to yourself.
