Lana Amawi, LISW

Psychotherapist
1991 Crocker Rd, Ste 600, Westlake, OH
Hello, my name is Lana Amawi, MSSA, LISW, CEC, and I have over 25 years of experience in mental health across various multidisciplinary settings as well as clinical research. I am an Ohio state-licensed Clinical Therapist and Social Worker who has been working in private practice for the last 20 years. Psychological Counseling Solutions was established in 2008, followed more recently by Coaching and Consultation Solutions. One of my niche populations includes medical and dental healthcare warriors around the world. My multicultural experiences and fluency in Arabic helped launch my career at the Menninger Clinic (Topeka, KS), followed by Henry Ford Behavioral Health and the Arab American and Chaldean Council (both in Detroit). I continue to serve as the Cleveland liaison for NuDay Syria, a nonprofit humanitarian organization based in New Hampshire. I remain a resource and advocate for refugee resettlement and provide counseling and therapy for those who have witnessed and experienced trauma due to the civil war in Syria. I maintain strong connections to Syria, as my parents were raised in Damascus and immigrated after graduating from medical school. I also have family in Syria, Jordan, KSA, Canada, and, of course, Kansas City, where my immediate family resides.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
