Lanaya McDonald, LPC

Psychotherapist
OH
I DO NOT DO ANY MEDICATION MANAGEMENT. I have a passion for helping people. I became a therapist to support and encourage others. I have a wide variety of experience. I worked in community health for several years. During that time, I saw a multitude of clients with a variety of issues, including but not limited to addiction, depression, bipolar disorder, and many others. I provided care both inpatient and outpatient and ran many different types of groups for adults and children. I also worked with children and families on our juvenile unit. Private practice has afforded me the opportunity to work with couples on relationship, intimacy, communication, and work-life balance problems, as well as one-on-one counseling via telehealth. Veteran mental health is important to me. As a veteran, I understand the needs of veterans and their families. I have been providing counseling through “Give an Hour” for military members and their families for the past five years. I hold a Master's in Counseling from Spring Arbor University, which has strengthened my clinical knowledge and skills. I have a wealth of clinical knowledge and experience in many disciplines. Asking for help is the first step in healing. I look forward to talking with you and helping you on your journey.
