Hi there, I'm Laniece! I am Laniece McIntyre, Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides psychotherapy to individuals who are struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-esteem and more. My approach Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of my favorite approaches when helping individuals identify and change negative thinking patterns to improve mood and quality of life. I also use Strengths Perspective, mindfulness and more. My focus My typical clients are 12 and older who are struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-Esteem, work stress, every day stress and more. My communication style I’d like to create an environment for my clients that is comfortable for them. If my client is a visual person; I will provide more visuals doing our sessions such as videos, pictures etc. If my client is a hands on individual, providing hands on activities in our sessions such as virtual sand trays, wheel of names etc. My journey to mental healthcare I’ve also wanted to be a therapist since I was a child because everyone needs an outlet no matter how rich, poor, happy or sad you are. My goals for you I’d like to use client driven goals and also SMART goals when approaching goal setting with clients. My first session with you Building a rapport is what I primarily focus on in our first session so getting to know each other to promote comfortability.
