It is exhausting to care for someone deeply but still feel like you're speaking two different languages or that they simply do not understand. Rather at work, with friends, or in your relationship we all desire to be heard. I’m Lanota, and I’m here to help you tear down that 'wall of silence' and find each other again. Whether you, your partner and you, or your family are navigating the stress of a new life chapter or trying to heal after a breach of trust in your relationship I offer a space. My focus is on your relationships as a whole.

What should a new client know about working with you?

CBT, DBT, and Gottman are some of the many types of theories I utilize yet let's be real when working with a therapist there are other things that are just as important. I offer a collaborative and non-judgmental space where you feel safe to explore your challenges. I don't just sit back and nod I listen; I am an active participant in your growth, offering questions to provide you with insight, providing practical tools, and also holding space for you, your relationship, or your family as a whole to be both seen and heard.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical process is that you are not typical. Each client, couple, and family has different needs and criteria and sessions are built based on the needs of the client/ clients. There are some standards: * One standard is that professional assessing will occur. * Another standard is that measurements will be done to explore growth as well as be advised of areas of concern. *Lastly, goals will be created by the client so that what they are seeking is honored.
