Our founder, LaPortia King, holds a Master of Arts in Counseling with a specialized focus on marriage, couples, and family counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, LaPortia King has undergone extensive training in Emotion Focused Therapy, Level 1 and 2 EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), trauma-informed care, and certified in pre-marital counseling (SYMBIS - Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts). This diverse skill set equips us to address a wide spectrum of issues that hinder individuals and families from experiencing fulfilling, connected lives.
