“Larita has heard all of my problems from big to less big, and has supported and guided me through it all. I have been better about setting boundaries, have processed more of the trauma from my childhood, and have had her support as I started my journey as a mom. In my postpartum I have been through many challenges, and Larita has offered advice and perspective, never once making me feel belittled or abnormal. She is so kind, warm, and very funny. I highly recommend her if you are going through a parenting journey, have anxiety/depression, need help learning to set boundaries, or just need someone who will empower you to be the best version of yourself!”

Getting to know Larita Mason
Hello, and thank you for taking the first step in your healing journey. You're likely here because you are unhappy about a situation or circumstance in your life, and you're looking for support and guidance on making a change for the better. If this is you, you are in the right place. I believe in empowering my clients to take control of their lives and learn how to make lasting change.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (in DE and PA) with over 12 years of experience treating children, adolescents, and adults. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Virginia Tech. Over the years, I have worked in various treatment settings including, but not limited to, schools, homes, juvenile detention centers, and outpatient centers. My focus is working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families who are dealing with family conflict, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and trauma. I am also passionate about normalizing mental health issues in people of color, as well as those from underserved and marginalized communities, in order to eliminate the stigma attached to seeking therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?
My philosophy is that unconditional positive regard is the cornerstone of a strong therapeutic relationship. My aim is to offer a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where you can be your authentic self.
In our time together we will not only work to get to the root of the presenting issue, but you will also learn practical new tools and skillsets to assist you in making changes on a daily basis.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
