Getting to know Larry Dagenhart

Larry Dagenhart is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA) who came to counseling after a 20-year career in communications and public relations. He holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pfeiffer University, a Master's in Sports Administration from Georgia State University, a Bachelor's degree from Davidson College, and a Certificate in Communications from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Larry's approach in counseling is focused on relationships. He works with individuals, couples, and families, and especially welcomes older adults. He specializes in relationship issues, family conflict, anxiety and depression, and life transitions. His plan is to work with you on what YOU want to change, setting goals that align with your values and what life improvement looks like to you.
It is Larry's desire to help you, your spouse, significant other, or family members create more meaning in life, build community connection, and reduce stress. He wants to guide you on your way toward becoming your best self.
Larry considers himself a lifelong learner and brings a special curiosity to the therapy room. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, playing guitar, reading, gardening, and rooting for the Davidson Wildcats and Carolina Panthers.
