Life is a journey. However, there are times along that journey when we get stuck as we are making progress. We want to keep moving, but the distance back looks too scary and the journey ahead looks too far. That is where finding help comes in. My name is Larry J. Smith, LCSW, and I am a licensed therapist with a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service. What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer 20 plus years of experience in social work with a background in child protection and foster care, as well as training in CBT. If you are struggling with symptoms related to anxiety or ADHD, if you are experiencing issues related to anger, parenting issues, relationship problems, adjusting to a new phase of life, or DCF involvement, I can help.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I understand no two people or circumstances are alike. You’ll be met with treatment tailor made to fit your individual needs. I have a calm, informal, and laid-back style; your comfort is paramount. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling, happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you on that journey.
