Hi, I'm Latoya, and before I became a social worker I spent years as a Certified Nurse Aide. Caring for people has been a constant in my life no matter what form it's taken. Maya Angelou said people will forget what you said and did, but they’ll never forget how you made them feel. That guides everything about how I show up in the room. Clients tell me they feel safe to be themselves in our sessions and that I really get them. I think that comes from the fact that I've lived through my own seasons of grief, loss, and rebuilding, and I don't treat those experiences as something to rush past. I understand them from the inside.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with teens 15 and up and adults navigating depression, anxiety, grief, stress, and life transitions. I specialize in supporting caregivers and families navigating disability and loss. My approach is flexible because healing looks different for everyone. I pay attention to who you are and we build a solution that fits your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

One of the most powerful moments in this work is watching someone handle a challenge they once believed was impossible and realizing they did the hard work themselves. That transformation is why I do this. You are the driving force of your destiny and you don't need to be in crisis to start writing the next chapter.
