What should a new client know about working with you?
My style is focused on Person Centered therapy as well as Solution focused and cognitive behavioral Therapy.
When I meet with clients, I want them to feel as comfortable as possible and for them to realize that my only goal is to help improve their lives. I offer a comfortable and safe environment in a confidential location off of Starkey Boulevard in Long Leaf. Through text or email, I also provide you with clear directions as to how you can access the building. I look forward to helping clients in need of therapy services.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Having a comfortably lit office and having clients talk about their issues without feeling judged. I also help provide them with skills they may not have thought about and provide them with compassionate support while they are working on some of their issues.

I was really in a bad place when I first started seeing Laura, she really gave me inspiration and helped me to start seeing more positive things in my life. Laura is very insightful and has really helped me at a difficult time in my life. She’s a great therapist.

Laura helped me and my husband work through a lot of our issues. She helped us to communicate better and have better conversations. Because of that, we have been working through our issues and we feel closer than before. I didn't realize how some of our conflicts could be solved with just a couple of different strategies. We still see her and I think it is because we feel comfortable with her.

Laura spent a lot of time with my son and has been teaching him strategies so he can focus more during school. He is so excited about seeing her and he is doing so much better in school. She takes a lot of time with him and engages him in therapeutic activities so he can both enjoy and learn from her. I am looking forward to seeing more positive changes in him in the future, he is doing better already.

Laura is a very compassionate counselor. I felt comfortable with her right away. She intuitively knew the right questions to ask and was completely non-judgemental. I can’t wait to continue counseling with her and I look forward to her helping me learn more about myself, I feel better already.

My daughter recently went through something very traumatic. Laura was able to help her feel comfortable by helping her talk about her feelings. She has also been giving her the coping skills to deal with what she went through. Her teachers tell me she is less distracted in school and is happier and interacting more with other people. I’m definitely going to have her continue therapy with Laura.
