Psychotherapist
1101 Lake St, Ste 200A 201, Oak Park, IL
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 9 years of experience in crisis and family services. I earned both my Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Social Work from Loyola University. My background includes working with adults, adolescents, children, and families in community mental health, as well as supervising a crisis team. Through this work, I have supported people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. I work with adults, adolescents, children, and families navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I help my clients build coping skills, process painful experiences, and strengthen their sense of self and their relationships so they can create meaningful, lasting change. Born in Colombia and fluent in both Spanish and English, I bring a bicultural perspective to my work. I am committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive care, and I offer therapy sessions in both languages. My therapeutic approach is warm, direct, and integrative. I draw on evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for healing. I often use the image of tending a garden to describe the process of growth: healing takes patience, care, and the right conditions. I practice at Next Step Collective in Oak Park, where I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. I am currently accepting new clients with private insurance, and intake appointments are often available within 24–48 hours. La semilla ya está en ti — demos el siguiente paso juntos. The seed is already within you — let's take the next step together.
