We are expected to survive traumatic experiences such as physical, sexual, and emotional abuse while keeping a smile on our face and pretending as if nothing bad happened to us. We are to maintain good grades, go to work daily, and do everything asked of us, even when struggling with sleep, depression, worry, intrusive memories, and low motivation. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, and I am here to be a witness to your story, validate your experience, and help you renegotiate your traumatic experiences. Together, you will learn to move through life with more peace and hope to reach the goals you have set for yourself.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have over 25 years of experience working with all mental health challenges. I specialize in trauma. I am a student of Somatic Experiencing, been trained in Brainspotting, and I have used EMDR since 2000. It might feel awkward tuning into your physical sensations but your body has stored invaluable information about where you have been and what you have been through.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In therapy, my goal is to create a safe and nurturing space where you feel understood and supported. Together, we’ll explore the why behind your actions and emotions, working towards healthier thoughts and behaviors. I believe in the profound power of empathy and understanding. By truly listening and connecting with my clients, I create a safe and nurturing environment where change and healing can begin.
