She treats issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, women's health, gender identity, managing chronic illness/injury, breast cancer support, academic and career challenges, and navigating relationship issues. Laura's counseling style is tailored to each person's place of need, working collaboratively to enhance personal growth and healing in a supportive and empathetic environment. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy are some of the therapeutic strategies utilized to assist clients in their growth. Laura earned her Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and holds a bachelor's degree in Speech Communications. She also has a background in higher education, remedial instruction, mental wellness, child advocacy, and chronic illness and injury. She has worked in private practice and as a contract agency therapist. As a counselor and adjunct college instructor, Laura has worked with many cultural populations, helping students of all ages with a variety of challenges. She has instructed and presented on many topics, including mental health/wellness and stress management. Her affiliations include the American Counseling Association, Missouri Mental Health and Counselor Association, St. Louis Psychological Association, and Voices for Children/CASA.
