Psychotherapist

More than half of people will struggle with a mental health issue at some point in their lifetime. It’s common to face depression, anxiety, self-doubt, and grief. Even with a support system, we can feel overwhelmed, alone, and stuck. I love this quote: “Everyone goes off the rails a little or a lot sometimes. That’s the nature of life. One of the bravest things to say is ‘I need help.’” It can get better. Your state can improve. There is hope. There is light. After all, mountains do not rise without earthquakes. I can help guide you to it and through it. My therapeutic strengths of non-judgment, compassionate listening, and insight can help you get from surviving to thriving. It’s all about you when you’re here. I am a Clinical Mental Health Therapist with over a dozen years of experience. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix, my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, and an Associate’s degree from Utah Tech University. My areas of specialization include counseling women and adolescent girls on a variety of issues. I am also experienced in working with family and men’s issues. My passion is to help others build resilience through their challenges and live more fulfilling, happy lives. The main theoretical frameworks I draw from are cognitive-behavioral therapy, existential theory, and specific skills-building approaches. I also believe deeply in the mind-body connection and understand how nutrition and movement are foundational for mental health.
