What should a new client know about working with you?

As an LICSW with over 15 years of behavioral health and healthcare experience, I provide compassionate, trauma-informed therapy focused on healing, resilience, and meaningful change. My personal and professional experiences have shaped my understanding of chronic medical conditions and mental health challenges, helping clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Women experiencing perimenopause and menopause often benefit from a team-based approach to care. I partner with Sarah Schulke, ARNP, FNP, at Lake Cavanaugh Wellness to coordinate therapy with medical care, including hormone evaluation, medication management, and laboratory testing when appropriate. This collaborative approach helps ensure that both the emotional and physical aspects of menopause are addressed, allowing clients to feel supported, understood, and cared for every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

"I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we’ll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better."
