Getting to know Lauren Anthony

Greetings! I'm Lauren, the owner of Surrendering Minds Counseling. Here at Surrendering Minds, we focus on empowering you to heal using the magnificent healing abilities already within each of us. I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 7 years of clinical experience. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Florida State University. I have provided counseling expertise in a variety of settings, including in-home counseling, school counseling, infant mental health (ages 0-5), and Medical Social Work. I am also a certified Yoga Teacher and a passionate yogi. By combining talk therapy with breath and meditation practices, we offer ourselves the ability to release negative emotions that no longer serve us, opening up the possibility to receive healing and experience emotional shifts.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Together we will explore what is possible for new beginnings to happen. Whether you are a new client or exploring the possibility of counseling we offer a variety of clinical services and modalities to include: treating a variety of depressive and pc_GncgQ0IoZUScifxGmnNvSx disorders, grief and loss, parenting difficulties, transitions, & work, family, or relationship difficulties. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
