Lauren Burling, LCSW

Lauren Burling, LCSW

Psychotherapist
30 Maple Dr, Ste A, Pine Township, PA
We all have fundamental needs: to belong, to feel understood, to give and receive love, to feel financially secure, and to be free from pain. My approach to therapy begins with addressing the impetus that led to scheduling that first appointment, then focusing on core basic needs like sleep, nutrition, and social connections. Together, we will develop awareness of the emotional states and behaviors that arise from these needs. Sometimes, the actions of others are the primary source of our distress. Even then, we can focus on what is within our control to improve coping and circumstances. You may be here seeking therapy for yourself or for someone you love. Maybe this is your first time looking for a therapist, or perhaps you've spoken to many therapists before. Wherever you're coming from today, know that therapy is a wonderful gift you can give yourself at any time in life. You can't be ?too bad? or ?too good? to enter therapy. In fact, I invite you to let go of the ideas of ?good/bad,? ?right/wrong,? and ?fair/unfair? in our work together. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Bryn Mawr College and earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. This educational foundation supports my commitment to providing compassionate, thoughtful care tailored to your unique experience.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
