Getting to know Lauren Daniels

I'm most passionate about supporting ambitious women and girls who are ready to ditch the hustle while maintaining their high standards. With a Master's in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University, I guide my clients toward optimal habits, productivity, and relationships using upscale approaches rooted in support and strategy. When overthinking, perfectionism, burnout, and people-pleasing become too much to handle, you need the right therapist to teach you how to rewire your brain and work with you to get to a place of confidence, cohesion, and just plain happiness.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you enter my therapy room, you can expect the comfort and ease you feel when hanging out with a close friend. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation to successful therapy, and once we’ve built that relationship and I gain an understanding of who you are, I will offer you a new perspective of yourself by teaching you where your anxiety or other thoughts and feelings come from, and give you the tools needed to overcome your struggles and meet your goals. I love to use humor (it’s okay to laugh at ourselves sometimes!) and creativity in the therapy room while allowing you the space to process your thoughts and experiences, and learn more about how to meet your expectations with in-depth process work so you don’t feel like you’re putting band-aids on your problems- I want to heal them long-term!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

After an initial consultation where I gather an overview of my clients' current situations, I meet with them for an intake session. This is a valuable part of the process allowing me to learn all I possibly can about them and their history. I wanna know about all aspects of my clients' health: their nutrition, sleep, spirituality, lifestyle, etc. Mental health goes beyond just the mental, and investigating all parts allow us to gain insight into the root causes and address them directly without the need for band-aid solutions keeping them stuck. Week after week, my clients feel like they're ACTUALLY making progress for once.

The way my panic attacks literally just stopped after my first session....I'm shook. I love therapy!
I'm getting better every week! It feels so nice to not feel so stuck in my life anymore.
Being able to share my experiences out loud for the first time to someone has been so helpful and meaningful to me. I'm grateful for their non-judgmental space each week to open up.
Realizing I'm never going to be perfect actually changed my life. I've been waiting forever to achieve this goal that I realized is not possible. I feel so free now.
Being able to share my experiences at loud for the first time to someone has been so helpful and meaningful to me. I'm grateful for their non-judgmental space each week to open up.
Shifting my perspective from striving for perfection to striving for excellence broke me free of this perfectionism cycle and I no longer feel like a failure.
My therapist is so compassionate in her work and truly listens to and hears me. She makes me feel safe and comfortable. I love all the ways she's shown me how to apply what we talk about to real-life situations. It's helped me gain a new perspective and I'm as stressed about tiny things anymore and I understand how to feel comfortable being uncomfortable.
I thought I was crazy until my therapist taught me about anxiety and where it comes from and that everyone has it - we just all have different ways of reacting to it and handling it. I am proud to say I can handle my anxiety so much better now!
Realizing I'm never going to be perfect actually. changed my life. I've been waiting forever to achieve this goal that I realized is not possible. I feel so free now.
Something she taught me in the very beginning sticks with me all the time, and that is "two things can exist at once". It's helpful for holding space for two conflicting feelings, like grief and joy.
I finally am feeling my emotions instead of keeping them bottled up and I'm not afraid to talk about them or feel them anymore.
