What should a new client know about working with you?

Making the decision to start therapy can be one of the most difficult steps in the therapeutic process so first I'd like to commend you. Reaching out for professional support is a direct indication of your strength, your courage and your resilience. Part of our philosophy, as a practice, has to do with helping clients attain their own personal goals. Whether you are dealing with individual, family or relationship oriented challenges we can work together to reach goals decided by you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I recommend weekly therapy sessions during the initial stages of treatment to establish consistency and build a strong therapeutic rapport. Regular sessions provide a supportive space for clients to begin exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences while fostering trust and a sense of safety within the therapeutic relationship. I use active listening as a foundational approach, giving my full attention to the client and reflecting back both content and emotion to ensure they feel heard and understood. This allows me to gain a deeper understanding of who the client is, including their personal history, values, and current challenges, as well as how they experience and process their emotions.
