Getting to know Lauren DeTurk

My name is Lauren DeTurk. I got my LPC license in May 2014. However, I have been in the field for 27 years. My top 3 specialties are infertility, Postpartum Depression and Postpartum Anxiety, and eating disorders. Another specialty and passion I have is working with couples doing couple's therapy or marital & family therapy. I thrive working with couples and this population I am extremely passionate about. I also have extensive experience treating eating disorders (binge eating disorder, bulimia, anorexia, eating disorders unspecified) throughout the years. I have experience working as a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner on Suicide Watch at a prison, as an outpatient therapist, TSS, multisystemic therapist, family-based therapist, and county caseworker working with the mental health and intellectual and developmental disabilities population securing group home funding and other services working in West Chester, PA.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can gain fresh perspective from being in therapy with me along with developing positive coping strategies to combat depression, anxiety, stress, anger management issues, and difficulties managing a work-home life balance. They will leave therapy feeling more confident in their ability to manage every day stressors in life and if they are parents in their parenting skills. They will report having more satisfaction in their careers if they are working in marriages if they are married.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
