*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* Hello! I am happy you are here. You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and stuck. At times, these feelings may affect your work, relationships, and self-esteem. It's possible that you do not know why you feel this way, but you would like to learn more about how your mind works. You want to find purpose, understand your past and your relationships, and learn how to navigate your world better. You would like to be a more confident, more relaxed, happier version of yourself. My name is Lauren, and I am an insight-based therapist with a Master's in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I have experience in these areas and will help you learn about yourself. Together, we will explore your thoughts and feelings. We will unravel the root cause of what is making you feel stuck, identify triggers, and find new ways to cope. It is through this process of self-discovery and personal growth-of untangling who you are from how you got here-that you will learn what works best for you and how to feel your version of better. I look forward to hearing about you soon! As Endorsed by Laura DeInnocentiis on Psychology Today: "Lauren is a compassionate and insightful therapist who creates a safe space for self discovery and growth. She helps clients untangle the past, understand their emotions, and develop the confidence to navigate life with clarity and purpose."

My approach is person-centered, focusing on individual strengths. I utilize an integrative style incorporating a variety of evidence-based techniques and orientations. Therapy with me feels like a conversation. I will ask lots of questions, offer new ways to think, help you problem solve, and help facilitate insight. At other times, I will sit back and listen.
