Getting to know Lauren Kirk
Hello, I look forward to assisting you in your healing journey! I pride myself as being a very open, nonjudgmental therapist with over 15 years experience in helping people reach their full potential. I encourage all clients to be their authentic self's in sessions and never feel that they have to hold back anything. I am a Dallas native but now reside in the countryside of Brownwood, TX with my husband and our hundreds of animals (crazy where lives paths will lead you). I graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, then continued my education by receiving a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from The University of North Texas. I also attended The Institute of Chemical Dependency Studies in Fort Worth, Texas to further specialized education in the area of addiction. I currently holds licensing as a Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I began working in the counseling field in 2009 and quickly worked my way up to the management level. I served as the Director of many counseling programs in Dallas, TX before relocating to Brownwood in 2015 and directing treatment services for the adolescent juvenile justice system. I have specialized training in the areas of addiction, childhood trauma, PTSD treatment, anxiety, depression and working with teenage survivors of sex trafficking. I have treated individuals ranging from toddlers to geriatrics but have the most experience treating adolescents and young adults. I am deeply passionate in helping individuals overcome their setbacks to meet their full potential. I moved into the private sector about 6 years ago and it has been an amazing transition. I look forward to working with you!

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
