Lauren Kropf, MSW

Psychotherapist
350 Northland Dr NE, Rockford, MI
The Empowered Path was created from a belief that people deserve support that recognizes the whole story—not just the challenges they are facing today. My own experiences with motherhood, adoption, military life, relocation, high-risk pregnancies, and the many transitions that come with raising a family have shaped the therapist I am today. These experiences have taught me the importance of feeling heard, supported, and empowered during some of life’s most vulnerable seasons. As a therapist, I bring both professional training and personal understanding to my work. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with specialized training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, perinatal mental health, and adoption competency. I work with children, teens, parents, foster and adoptive families, and women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, loss, and the transition into parenthood.

Getting to know Lauren Kropf

The Empowered Path was created from a belief that people deserve support that recognizes the whole story—not just the challenges they are facing today.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have to have everything figured out. As a therapist, I bring both professional experience and personal understanding to my work. I have experience supporting children, teens, parents, foster and adoptive families, and women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, loss, and major life transitions. My specialized training includes trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, perinatal mental health, and adoption competency. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. We will work together to understand what you need, identify your strengths, and develop tools that fit your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

. You can share a little about what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping for, but you don't need to have everything figured out. 2. Find the Right Fit We'll connect to make sure my services, specialties, and approach are a good fit for your needs. Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is an important part of the process. 3. Complete Your Paperwork Once we've decided to work together, you'll complete the necessary intake paperwork and provide information about your goals, concerns, and background. 4. Meet for Your First Session
