My name is Lauren Leon, and I am an Associate Clinician who recently graduated from Chapman University with a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a proud panther and also teach an LGBTQ+ class at Chapman. I am excited you're here and appreciate you taking the leap into therapy. Therapy made a big difference for me, and I hope it can be impactful for you as well. As a person-centered and solution-focused therapist, it is important for me to learn your story and work collaboratively with you to find goals and solutions. I really enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and their families and have done so for most of my life. In this work, it's important for me to see how the family system can shape an individual's thoughts, beliefs, and actions. Some specialties of mine include grief, complex trauma, sexual and gender identity, self-esteem, and anxiety. As a member of the queer community, it is important for me to create a safe space for all individuals. By being open-minded and non-judgmental, I give clients space to explore all parts of themselves. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, my cat, and family and friends. I love movies, game nights, and trying new restaurants. I also love to travel, weight-lift, go for walks, and do yoga. I am an avid sports fan and can usually be found rooting for one of the many teams I follow.
