Hello there, my name is Dr. Lauren Serdencuk, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida. I earned my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercy College, and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from City University of New York, Queens College. I am also a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) in Florida. My specialties include Substance Abuse, Chronic Illness, Depression, Family Conflicts, Relationship Issues, and Anxiety. I come from a Solution-Focused approach, meaning we explore solutions for the future instead of focusing on the past. I provide a safe, non-biased, and casual environment to help clients feel more comfortable and at ease. I believe it is very important for clients to feel connected to their therapists, and I am always checking in to ensure I am meeting their expectations. I think I can help you if you are desiring change, willing to take on challenges, and open to exploring new possibilities. Together, we can collaborate and create a plan you are ready to put into action! In our sessions, I’ll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the obstacles preventing you from achieving your goals. Let’s do this!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect to take away hope from our sessions. By utilizing Solution-Focused therapy, clients will gain a sense of hope when viewing possible solutions for the future. Clients can expect to feel a sense of relief after our sessions, especially clients attending therapy for the first time. I do incorporate some light humor when necessary, with intent to assist clients feeling more comfortable. Although I do have experience working with all populations, I am not taking on couples as clients at this time.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
