Lauren graduated with her Master’s in Social Work from Baylor University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Previously, she worked in residential, PHP/IOP, and outpatient settings, where the majority of her clients were adolescents experiencing eating disorders and comorbid mental health concerns. She has also provided school-based mental health services to children and adolescents. Her therapeutic orientation is holistic, strengths-based, rooted in cognitive-behavioral theory, and eclectic/integrative—blended with additional approaches to best serve each client. Lauren provides evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), in conjunction with humanistic approaches to create an empathic, authentic, and supportive environment. Lauren is Family-Based Treatment (FBT) informed and certified in core Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). She aims to provide a space for families to share openly, honestly, and mindfully during family therapy while achieving their identified goals.
