Getting to know Lauren Vaughan-D'Angelo

Hi there! My name is Lauren, and I have been a therapist for 14 years. I earned my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University. My primary experience has been working with under-served and under-resourced clients who face significant obstacles and barriers to mental health recovery. I have worked in community mental health for many years and have enjoyed a variety of roles within that sphere. I understand that therapy can be an emotionally taxing experience, so I prefer to bring lightheartedness and a sense of humor to my work. Ideally, I create a safe environment that is both professional and relaxed.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

In just my first session, Lauren gave me hope. She's one amazing listener if you want her to be. My first few sessions I just needed to spew, and she listened (reacted appropriately as well), and saved me from never doing therapy. The following sessions have been great. She really tries to find ways to help that work for YOU, and is very open minded. Lauren will be someone I talk about for the rest of my life when explaining my journey to mental health.
