Getting to know Lauren Wyman

Nice to meet you! Like many of you, I am a parent, a spouse, a daughter, a sibling, a friend, a professional, and I am also—ME. We all wear many different hats and juggle the responsibilities of ourselves and others, which can at times feel so heavy. Come sit with me and take a load off! I am a dedicated and compassionate human, which translates beautifully into my therapeutic practice, where I believe that everyone deserves to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. I specialize in providing a safe and supportive environment where individuals, couples, and families can explore their challenges, (re)discover their strengths, and develop effective strategies for positive change. About me personally: I am a Colorado girl living in a big Texas world! I received my Bachelor of Science in Mental Health and Addictions Counseling from Metro State University of Denver and used my degree to work as a paralegal in criminal defense and family law. Following nearly 10 years in the legal realm, I deepened my ability to connect with and help clients by attending graduate school at Regis University in Denver, Colorado, where I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. Recently, my family was presented with a difficult yet exciting opportunity to pack up and move across the country to Texas. I know personally and professionally the experience of profound and overwhelming stress, anxiety, depression, and grief. I also know what happiness, love, and comfort feel like and can appreciate that at times our heavy emotions overshadow or prevent our ability to experience joy.
