Becoming a counselor is one of the greatest joys of my life. It is an incredible honor to walk alongside each and every one of my clients as they let me into their stories. I believe our stories are powerful and shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us. It can take courage to walk into the counseling room and talk about your pain, struggles, and hurt. It is my hope you leave our space feeling known, empowered, and like you are working toward holistic healing and growth. It has been my joy to work with both individuals and couples, equipping them with tools and being an ally with them on their journeys. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Moody Bible Institute, which has deeply informed my approach to counseling and holistic care. I've lived in Chicago for almost 10 years, and in my free time, I love spending time with my husband and our golden retriever, Penny. We enjoy exploring different restaurants and sitting out on patios in the summertime. I also love catching up with friends at fun new coffee shops and spending time on the lakefront whether walking, running, or biking.

I am currently holding all sessions virtually.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe that the therapy session is the client's space and time. We are a team collaborating on your goals and working to achieve them together. My goal is to create a safe place for you. I want you to leave the space feeling heard and validated while also feeling lovingly challenged in ways that will help lead you to further self-awareness and holistic growth. I exist to help you explore the areas you are there to work on and help you work toward growth and healing. I move at your pace and will check in with you throughout the process to ensure I am understanding you and that your needs are being addressed. I work to help you see yourself and your world rightly in order to help you grow in self awareness and heal your wounds. My typical approach includes a combination of: person-centered therapy, CBT, EFT and trauma-informed therapies like EMDR as needed.
