Getting to know Laurent Dure

Laurent Dure, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with over five years of experience supporting adolescents and adults through life’s challenges. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree (2017) and Master’s degree in Social Work (2019) from the University at Buffalo School of Social Work. Laurent takes a strengths-based, solution-focused approach to therapy. He believes each person brings resilience and insight into the room, and his role is to help clients build on those strengths while developing practical tools for change. His work is collaborative and patient-centered, ensuring that therapy moves at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and aligned with each client’s most important goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in working with high-functioning adults and teens who struggle with anxiety, overthinking, stress, and burnout. Many of my clients appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally — constantly worrying, second-guessing, or feeling emotionally exhausted. Using a strengths-based, solution-focused approach, I help clients develop practical strategies to manage anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and feel more confident in relationships and daily life. Therapy with me is structured, collaborative, and goal-oriented — we focus on meaningful progress, not just talking. I provide both in-person and secure telehealth appointments for flexibility and accessibility. If you're ready to feel more grounded and in control, I look forward to working with you.
