I have a passion working with children, adolescents, teens and adults and am well versed in depression, anxiety, pre and postpartum, special needs, gender identity, shame/guilt, grief, relationship/family difficulties and self esteem. In addition to working with teens and adolescents, I have a special place in my heart for working with adults struggling with Life Transitions related to grief, post partum depression, and divorce. I utilize an eclectic approach that comprises Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic/Client Centered, Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy and Mindfulness Training. I have earned my double masters degree in professional counseling and educational leadership and continue to be a life-long learner. Laurie is a Certified Grief Educator. A Certified Grief Educator is committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief. Certified Grief Educators complete a certificate program designed by world-renowned grief expert, David Kessler. They bring his unique methodology, tools, and decades of experience to help people navigate the challenges of grief. I look forward to working with you along this journey to reach your own potential.
